EMU Theatre

The Lawrence Arts Center will be holding auditions this Thursday, January 5th at 7:30pm for "Fire Your Muse ...this is where new plays come from" and "On Screen Offspring, an evening of multimedia one act plays written by area filmmakers". 

Auditions will be on the Main Stage of LAC, 940 New Hampshire St, Lawrence.  Please bring a prepared 1 minute monologue, or 16 bars of Broadway or Rock song if auditioning for one of the two musicals.  We will also be casting people for the reading of stage directions, so a lack of previous acting experience is no impediment.  There are, however, no roles for children. 

"Fire Your Muse" consists of the staged readings of six plays written by area playwrights.  It will take place on Feb. 11 & 12 at the LAC.  The plays read will be:  The Tin Woodman, by Larry Mitchell; His & Hers, by Marlo Angell; Jonah Qwerty Is Femme Assassin Guy, a musical by Michael Dieker; Let My Mind Flash with Blades, by Dan Born; The Ponzi Scheme, a musical by Will Averill; and Pies From the Porn Kitchen, by Natalie Liccardello.

"On Screen Offspring" will take place on Feb. 3 & 4, also at the LAC.
