EMU Theatre

EMU Theatre believes that every season should be the season for giving. In the spirit of that EMU is proud to present its production of Kenneth Lonergan’s Lobby Hero. This is a benefit show for the Lawrence Humane Society.

The Lawrence Humane Society is a non-profit organization established for the benefit, care and protection of all animals. They provide sheltering, adoption coordination and education regarding in all aspects of the humane treatment of animals. These and several other important services are supported by funding and donations from the community. EMU strongly supports the Lawrence Humane Society and would like to encourage everyone to show their support by attending the show.

Lobby Hero is a character study involving a young security guard, his supervisor, a rookie police officer and her boss. Their lives become intertwined in a series of complex situations and interactions that none of them ever expected. The show contains adult language and situations and is recommended for mature audiences only.

Performances will be February 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th at the Lawrence Arts Center (LAC) located at 940 New Hampshire. All shows will begin at 8pm. Tickets are $10 in advance at the LAC or at the door or $8 at the door with a donation of blankets or towels to the Humane Society.
