EMU Theatre

EMU Theatre, Lawrence’s charitable independent company, believes in giving back the community in any way they can. We believe in utilizing our creative volunteer resources to give back to the community by doing our part to assist those help the causes and organizations that we believe in.

In this vein, EMU proudly presents its next major production, Kenneth Lonergan’s Lobby Hero. This will be a benefit show for the Lawrence Humane Society. This will be EMU’s second benefit show in the past two years. EMU believes that the Humane Society provides and invaluable service to the community

Lobby Hero is a character study of a young security guard, his supervisor, a rookie police officer and her boss. Their dreams and emotions of the past become intertwined and result in interactions and events that none of them ever expected. The show contains some adult language and situations.

Performances will be February 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire. All shows will begin at 8pm. Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door or $8 at the door with a donation of blankets or towels to the Humane Society.
