EMU Theatre presents 4.48 Psychosis

EMU Theatre is proud to present its next production, 4.48 Psychosis by Sarah Kane. Performances will be February 26th, 27th, March 5th and 6th at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire in Lawrence. All shows start at 8:00 PM.

4.48 Psychosis is a captivating and powerful exploration of one woman’s battle with mental illness. The work mirrors Kane’s own personal struggle with severe depression. She never saw her final work performed, as Kane died by her own hand shortly after completing the play.

Another Round of Audtions for 4.48 Psychosis

Never fear fellow and aspiring thespians, all is not lost. Due to overwhelming response and demand, we have scheduled one more round of auditions for our upcoming production of 4.48 Psychosis by Sarah Kane.

The auditions will be held on Thursday, November 19th at 8:00 PM at the Lawrence Arts Center. These are open auditions, all interested parties are encouraged to come try out. Those auditioning will not need to bring prepared material.

EMU Theatre will continue with auditions for our next major production, 4:48 Psychosis by Sarah Kane, on Saturday, November 14th at 2pm and newly added Thursday, November 19th at 7pm in the basement of the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire in Lawrence.

It survived the zombie massacre of '07. It took audiences beyond the edges of sanity in 2008. So what's left for EMU Theatre to bestow upon hungry hoards of horror fans this Halloween?

In 2009 it seems that the EMU writers are fighting over the best way to scare the audiences with its 3rd annual Halloween show, "Horrorshow IIID". The peeved playwrights will showcase four different ideas of Halloween themed shows, ranging from a kooky comedy, to an arabesque and blood-filled look into the depravity of the human condition.
