EMU Theatre will hold auditions for Horrowshow 3-D at the DotDotDot Artspace at 1910 Haskell Avenue on the following dates:

EMU Theatre celebrates the Year of the Ox with Oily Oily Oxen Sheen, its tenth anniversary 10-minute play festival, featuring ten original plays, many of them by local authors.

Performances are May 29th & 30th and June 5th & 6th, in the basement theater of the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire Street. All performances begin at 8pm, and tickets are $6 at the door.

Nathan Cadman and Andy Stowers of the EMU Theatre were interviewed recently by our friends at Lawrence.com. Cadman direct and Stowers acts in our next production: Lobby Hero.

EMU Theatre believes that every season should be the season for giving. In the spirit of that EMU is proud to present its production of Kenneth Lonergan’s Lobby Hero. This is a benefit show for the Lawrence Humane Society.

Just wanted to give everyone fair warning about a very interesting "competition" coming up in April: write a 100 page script in 30 days. For those of you who might be familiar with "National Novel Writing Month" -- a.k.a. NaNoWriMo -- in November, Script Frenzy is the playwright's springtime equivalent. I am seriously thinking about throwing my pen into the ring, and hope that some of those that attempted NaNoWriMo might also take the plunge.
